From 9 April to 20 June 2025, the Hôtel**** Mercure Carcassonne la Cité will be hosting a brand new exhibition by Carcassonne artist Fanny Debez, entitled "Dualité Contrastée". An artistic immersion in a sensitive, spontaneous and contrasting universe.
As part of its new "Les Rencontres Bons et Vivants" programme, the establishment is being transformed into a real place of life and culture, combining art, gastronomy and local produce. This first artistic event will honour a local artist with a rich and inspiring career.
A versatile artist with an instinctive approach
Designer, graphic artist, decorator and painter, Fanny Debez is a complete creative force. She draws her inspiration from emotions, materials and the moment. Each of her works is the fruit of a free gesture, a spontaneous intention, an intimate dialogue with the material.
Three collections, three moods:
Crazy Pink : An explosion of bright colours, a cross between graffiti, pop art and girly energy. Works full of pep and contrast.
India ink : Minimalism and sobriety, inspired by Japanese calligraphy. The elegance of black, the power of emptiness.
Fugitive Shadows : Exploring emotions and movement. A pure, timeless aesthetic that leaves room for interpretation.
An invitation to meet
Under the impetus of its manager Jessica Abdoune, the Hôtel Mercure Carcassonne is asserting its desire to become a local cultural player. Through this exhibition, the hotel invites its visitors - tourists and locals alike - to discover regional talent and experience the soul of Cathar country in a different way.
